Land, community, and immediate family are sources of healing

It was very common for traditional healers to be known in a certain community, or a certain region of land called “ahupua’a,” and those land divisions were traditional land divisions, and the traditional healers knew how to use the plants in that region, and if a person from that area lived their cultural practices, even today, they would see their land, that community, and their immediate family as a source of healing.
