Sense of entitlement is gone

- We’ve moved the community and one of the things we’re very proud about in the urban community is that sense of entitlement is no longer a barrier. People know that they now have a responsibility and that we’re moving in that direction.
- [Lindberg:]
- That’s a big deal.
- [Waukazoo:]
- Oh, that’s a big deal, I mean it was—psychologically. Back in ‘84, ‘85 one of the things that we did initially—the Urban Indian Health Clinic—was to purchase a building. There’s a whole different set of thinking, a mentality about renter mentality and owner mentality.
- [Lindberg:]
- You bet.
- [Waukazoo:]
- When you move—and it doesn’t begin with the patients in the community. It begins with the people in the clinic, the workers in the clinic.
