Indians who live in cities seek out other Indians and wonder what is going on back home

[Lindberg:]
Now the ones that go to cities, how well does that work out? Is that a good thing to do or bad?
[Cook:]
Well, it’s necessary. It’s a good thing, because then you get education, you get a job, but what happens with each is that there is something in their DNA or their bloodline or something that pulls, attracts to each other, so they’ll go to powwows or to some meetings or activities and always wonder what’s going on at home, and first chance they get, they’ll go back and participate in whatever is going on, then leave again. We see that by the day.
[Lindberg:]
Stay in touch, then. ?
[Cook:]
Yes.
