[Lindberg:]
So how many patients are still here with Hansen’s disease?
[Boogie:]
I think there’s—right in Kalaupapa?
[Lindberg:]
Yeah.
[Boogie:]
I don’t think anybody has—
[Lindberg:]
No one is active with the disease? But I mean—
[Kahiliwa:]
Oh, when I came, when I came, I think ‘59—let me see now— well over 200, 300.
[Lindberg:]
But now probably 20, 30 or so?
[Boogie:]
Yeah, about 20-something. But even when I came there were a lot of people that I didn’t know. You ask the other guy, “What’s happening?” “Oh, they went to the funeral. Oh, you didn’t notice that—passed on.”
