The diversity of the tribes makes it challenging to provide health care to all Native Americans and Alaska Natives.

Are there any special problems in trying to provide healthcare to Indian population?
[Robideaux:]
Well, certainly providing healthcare to American Indians and Alaska Natives is very challenging. We have a growing population. We have a very diverse population with 565 federally recognized tribes. We provide healthcare in very remote and rural areas, and it's very challenging to provide healthcare in those facilities.
