Spirituality as a source of healing

[O’Connor-Lewis:]
Usually for when we talk about what Hawaiian “lomi lomi” is— our hands is the—is our eyes, and our hands feels what the body feels, and how we’ve been trained as practitioners is—and this comes not only from our master teachers that we’ve learned with, but from when we’re young, is it’s like souls speaking to souls, because it’s all in the spiritual level that the work is being done. What we do is we do our prayers when we begin, and we just work with our hands, and we work with our hands according to what we’re feeling in that body. You know, we can feel pain. We can feel sadness. We can feel every emotion that that body is feeling because the senses is coming from the spiritual level, not the physical level when we’re working with the clients.
