Gardens bring us closer to the environment

[Lindberg:]
How do we deal with the problem that so many people in the world—probably over half—actually live in cities, where they have very little contact with the soil and the earth and the country and things that we’re speaking of.
[Kawa’a:]
Create a garden for yourself. You can—plants— you can bring plants. You can have drawings. You can live through your garden through art. You can live in the garden through music. [Native language] and the wind blows. That’s bringing the environment into the building.
