Traditional means of treating diabetes

[Cope:]
Yeah, there’s quite a few people that have diabetes. Quite a few people that have diabetes, but we have—you know, I tell them what to do with their diabetes, so they don’t—it don’t stay with them. Yeah, I said if you don’t take care, that diabetes is going to stay with you and eat you up.
[Lindberg:]
Yes, you’re right.
[Cope:]
It’s going to eat you up, so you [in Native language] —listen to what I say, so the diabetes go away.
[Lindberg:]
What do you tell them to do?
[Cope:]
Well, they drink certain kind of medication, certain kind of medication, and little by little, so when they come see me next week, “Oh, it’s a little better.” They come see me the following—“Oh, it’s a little better.”
[Lindberg:]
Yeah, good, and does that involve losing weight?
[Cope:]
Oh, yes, definitely, definitely.
