Cities destroy Native cultures

[Fernandez:]
Cities destroy Native cultures, so at one level, at that really purely sociological kind of anthropological level, “urban Indian” is an oxymoron. That urban means separate from nature based on, you know, a certain kind of economy, based on a certain way of living, and Native is a different way, you know, based in nature, hunting, fishing, maybe farming, living communally in family-related—therefore, they don’t just seem to match that easily.
