Alcoholism is the tip an an iceberg, prompting the physician to dig deeper to learn about its root causes

I also believe problems are very deep, that alcoholism is just the tip of the iceberg, and you’ve got to really go deep to find out what’s really going on. Was it a childhood problem? Were they abused? Was there some kind of trauma involved? The problem is in modern medicine and clinics, they see people fifteen minutes. We get to see people for an hour or two.
